October 22, 1994, the China Digital Data Network (China DDN) was opened formally.At that time, the network can access the 21 provincial capitals and municipalities, to offer 776 circuits at the high-speed of 2.048Mbps, 2588 circuits at the other rate. 16 provinces and 17 cities had opened the digital data network business, was expected would cover more than 300 cities in the first half of next year.
China DDN and China PAC was launched one years ago will interconnect with computer networks and information systems, providing a variety of national information processing system to communications services.
