The Chinese Wikipedia is the Chinese language edition of Wikipedia, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. Started on October 24, 2002.Up to 7:10 p.m. on October 23, 2008, the Chinese Wikipedia has 208,122 entries. There are also other Chinese dialects version, including Taiwanese Wikipedia, Cantonese Wikipedia, Classical Chinese Wikipedia, Wu Wikipedia, Fujian Wikipedia, Jiangxi Wikipedia, Hakka Wikipedia and so on.
By now, Chinese Wikipedia has been the third largest online Chinese encyclopedia after Hoodong and Baidu Baike.
